When a child is born into the world, there are some basic survival instincts the child is born with. Each child `born knows some basic kind of self-defense. The self-defense here doesn’t mean that the kid would do some fancy karate moves, but you can see that when you try to touch the child’s face, and it gets irritated, the child would try to dodge you or bring its hands in between.


As we grow, we are exposed to the brutal world around us, which has in it all the probable and possible types of people. Few kinds and generous but a few who would be a problem to you and the society. When we grow up, we need to protect ourselves from people like these. So, how do we do so? The answer is to know self-defense. Self-defense in itself is explanatory. You don’t initiate and indulge in a physical fight with a person, but at the same time, if you are being attacked, then you can use the technique to defend and protect yourself.

1- Confidence:

Self-defense gives you the tools and skills that you would need to confidently access a dangerous situation and navigate out of it effectively. There is nothing more empowering than the fact that you know when you are in danger and the fact that you are ready always to take on the dangerous situation to be in a safer place. This helps you gain immense confidence, and there is nothing more important than confidence for an individual living in the 21st century.


2- Physical Health:

The physical training for your self-defense training will lead you to be more healthy physically. Self-defense requires a lot of training and stamina, along with a lot of flexibility. So, when you train to be skilled at self-defense then your body is automatically subjected to greater endurance-based exercises, which indirectly will help you have better physical health.


3- Balance:

Self-defense helps you achieve a perfect balance in your life. It makes you more focused, tones your muscles, makes you more flexible, makes you much more aware of your surrounding, and when you can achieve a self-defense tag, then you automatically feel elated. Self-defense doesn’t only make you feel physically stronger but also makes you mentally healthier hence giving you a perfect balance in life.


Self-defense is a very important aspect of the 21st century, it is a skill that one should know. People who know self-defense are healthier both mentally and physically and feel more confident in the world around them.
